When I Wish Upon You

My dentist once told me that letting go is like pulling a tooth. When it was pulled out, you’re relieved, but how many times does your tongue run itself over the spot where the tooth once was? Probably a hundred times a day. Just because it wasn’t hurting you doesn’t mean you didn’t notice it. It leaves a gap and sometimes you see yourself missing it terribly. It’s going to take a while, but it takes time. Should you have kept the tooth? No, because it was causing you so much pain. Therefore, move on and let go.

Have you all forgotten?

I haven’t been active on tumblr for the longest time, especially not for kpop.

And as I was reading the comments for JYP’s msg to Sunye to congratulate her marriage… I was disgusted.

I scrolled through pages and pages of comments, and all of them were talking about how wonderful, and fatherly JYP is… and how close JYP Nation is.

Before I say anything else…

I used to be a huge supporter of JYP Nation. I loved One Day, I loved Wonder Girls, I loved them all. Then, it all crashed. 2009. Jay Park.

Have you all forgotten?

All those comments about how amazing JYP is… are you new to the kpop fandom? Are fans like me, that have been in the fandom for almost a decade now, just ‘haters’ that are trying to bring down your ‘favourite company/artist’ ?

The kpop fandom is being filled with immature little girls that oogle at their ‘oppars’ and start fan wars.

SME. A company known for how ‘ruthless’ they are with their artists. People hate the company, yet love the artists. But you know what, at least they protect their artists. They’re amazing at damage control. They have saved their artists so many times.

YGE. A company with a ‘strict’ and ‘cold’ father. But then… how come so many people decide to continue their contract with them? Teddy Park, an amazing producer - being asked by Amercian artists (Lady GaGa) is quite a feat. - has been with YGE since 1tym, and he’s still with YGE, even though he, without a doubt, could easily be a producer for any company. There’s a reason for that. One that I should not have to spell out.

Then there’s JYPE. People talk about how friendly and ‘family-like’ it is. But when given the chance… so many artists from JYPE don’t stay with the company. They still have ‘friendly relations’ with JYPE, but they don’t stay. In a world surrounded by people who are obsessed with money and fame, it is better to have a friend, than an enemy, especially when it comes to large companies. And Jay Park. I think that’s all that needs to be said. Fatherly? Abandoning your child is very fatherly.

So,

JYPE being the most loving and tight family?

I would have to disagree.
